Dinosaurs!

Memorial Day Saturday, we headed to Glen Rose, Tx. We stopped at Dinosaur Park (which is next door to Dinosaur State Park). Here are a few pics. Enjoy!

O hai!

Jonah loved "reading" the signs. His dinosaur babble was hysterical. That boy loves dinosaurs!

My little actress. It didn't take much coaching to get this pic.
She never turns down a fun photo op. That's my girl!

The statues were well done. Many looked like grazing dinosaurs,
just hanging out in the valley and glancing over at the humans.

All in all, a great place to visit! We will definitely visit agian.

Winning Photos at the Yamboree 2013 (aka Smugaree 2013)

Hi. Remember me? I know we haven't spoken in a while. Things have been crazy. The pace of life has increased a bit: 2 kids now, one in school, one a busy little spider monkey. It is good to see you too.

In a poorly executed attempt to keep my blog up and running, here are a few pics from (insert echo voice) ~~~~2013~~~~ (/end echo voice).  It's a far cry from bringing the blog fully up to date but eh: it's a partial attempt. And partial attempts are my specialty! (Case in point, I rarely sign my name these days, it's all initials. See? Partial.)

I submitted a few pics into the Yamboree this year. I actually won. Like Oh My Gosh I Will Annoy Everyone with my Smugness winning. But before we get to that...let me recap.

2nd place in Portrait/Human Interest was this guy. Jonah strolling through out-of-service sprinkler park rings at a water park. Cool, artsy. iPhone pic.  I know, the Canon SLR ain't happy 'bout that.

1st place in Portrait/Human Interest was my Lily girl. Also- this was Best in Show (not a dog, turns out). Best in Show is the bestest ever EVAR. Of all time. In all the universe. Incidentally- also an iPhone pic. In all honestly- it was sheer luck that got me this photo.

That's it for now! Hopefully...more to come. Well, at least partially.-LCS

Fun Times at the Harbor

With the weather being just simply gorgeous, we have ventured out to our town's lakeside shopping center a bit more often. Here are a few pics from the Harbor.

Favie Five Pics from Jan

Time for some catch-up'ins! Here are my favie pics from January...

The 2nd Generation J Street girls: Katherine, Lily and Audrey

One of my favorite silly pics

I noticed this one day: Lily's shoes placed carefully next to mine. I wanted to leave my shoes there forever.

Tu-tu's and butterfly wings? Yes please!

Not only does she dress up in the full princess outfit (head to toe) but the girl knows how to pose. I'm so proud!

Whatcha Thinking About?

This is our busy time at our casa (namely busy time for hubby's work and my work). Add in a dash of snow days to make up work-wise and the busyness grows. Hey- I'm not complaining. Oh no. I'm just sad the blog suffers due to the busyness. I hope to have more "bloggy" posts soon. Until then....

Two Laufs

Just a couple pictures that made me laugh recently...

This is SO Max!

I like to think of it as more like Warp Speed vs Attack Speed. ;-)

Christmas!

This year, Lily really "got" Christmas. From talking about Jesus and the fact that it's his birthday to Santa and his sleigh full of toys. You can bet I used, "Wait, are you being NAUGHTY" when she had the occassional "bad" moment. Hey, it works. As always, I was sad to see Christmas go. Good thing I have this blog to help it last a little longer.

Here are a few pics from the Christmas holiday.

Lily's Christmas Program: she was luke warm... not a diva performer nor a sobber. Hey- I aint complainin'!

Just a glimpse of our Christmas morning. Lily in love with her new kitchen and Max, thinking he's a puppy and still a lap dog. just being Max (aka Happy).

Look!! More gifts!!

Christmas. Awesomeness. Overload.

My sweet boy basking in the glow of the Christmas tree.

Favie Five Pics from Dec 2010

December was a busy and fun month! Here are a few of my favs from all the awesomeness...(sidenote: the auto-rotate feature on the photo import for Blogger is nuts. It's genius logic was to  auto-rotated pics of trees to be horizontal trees. REALLY?! My fix is to revert to the old editor, import, then go back to the new editor. Come on Blogger. Many of use rotate our pics already!)

I love fall and I especially love fall leaves!

A star is born!

Lily's drawings are so creative!

My sweet girl!

SQUIRREL! Max ran a squirrel up the tree. No one was hurt. Well except Max. His feelings were hurt that the squirrel didn't want to come down and play.

Come in Dog Fort. Over.

Much like Happy Cat and the LOLrus, I'm can be a wee bit behind on the popular memes in the wide wide world of web. As it so often happens, I find a funny picture then discover it has been "viral" on the web for months. Dog Fort & Reb Lobster are no exception. The first picture below is my favorite (via http://www.ihasahotdog.com/). A quick Google search revealed an endless viral supply so I included 2 more just for grins (not successive, just random). * Also, is it sad that these comic strips make me want to scrapbook? Well, scrapbook as in draw up Maxy boy comic strips. I'm getting there, Monica. ;-)

Favie Five Pics from November

Lily's Great Gramma made her this hat and scarf set. I tried for a "normal smile" pose, which I got, but it just wasnt my fav. Silly pics? Guilty of being mommy's fav everytime.

Lily hugging the Snowman that we put up in our yard (for the first time)!

Santa! Lily did great. She was very still but managed to whisper what she wanted to Santa.

This is Lily's Mom's side fo the family (hat and scarf maker seated at the table).

I loved this moment (from Thanksgiving) with Lily and her Uncle Clint. He played the guitar and offered to let her accompany him. It was precious.

Favie Five Pics from October

Now that it's December, I might as well get the October Favies posted!

I love this picture of Lily. One of my all-time favs!

Big Tex! Our day at the Fair was so fun!

In her superman costume, feet propped up, circling the toys she wants from a Target catalog.

The Super Family!
